One year of conflict in South Sudan

<p> One year ago, on 15 December 2013, conflict broke out in the world&rsquo;s youngest nation, South Sudan as a result of fighting between President Salva Kiir and former Vice President Riek Machar. Tens of thousands of South Sudanese have died, 1.9 million people have been displaced, and millions more have become vulnerable to food insecurity. Some 100,000 internally displaced people are being sheltered across nine basis of the UN Mission in South Sudan. One year on, the parties have yet to reach a comprehensive peace agreement and the fighting still goes on.&nbsp;</p>
